The Cancer Society of New Zealand (CSNZ) offers a wide range of services through the regional divisions and centres. The easiest way to access all these services is to phone the Cancer Information Helpline 0800 CANCER (226 237). Your call will be answered by a specially trained cancer nurse. The service is not only for patients. Families/whanau and friends are welcome to call this number too.
You can talk with trained nurses, counsellors, psychologists or a person who has had a similar experience to you
You can join a range of support groups, programmes, workshops, seminars and on-line discussion groups
CSNZ offers help with driving you to appointments, accommodation during treatment and short-term financial assistance
