Individuals

Everyone can help in the fight to end melanoma in New Zealand. Get involved by staying informed, making a donation, creating a fundraiser, or volunteering your time.

Fundraise

We welcome all fundraising efforts that will further the work of Melanoma New Zealand. With your help we can provide more education about melanoma prevention, increased access to early detection services and greater support for patients and their families on their melanoma journey.

Whether you raise money for Melanoma New Zealand by running a marathon, shaving your head, holding a sausage sizzle or bake sale, whatever fundraising activity you choose will help us reach our vision for New Zealand of no deaths from melanoma.

To make things easy for you, there are several easy-to-use platforms like Givealittle, Grassrootz and GoFundraise that let you create your own fundraising page and then share it with your friends and family.

Volunteer with us

We welcome volunteer energy and passion to help us raise awareness about melanoma prevention and early detection. From all around the country, New Zealanders help us in many ways from assisting at our events to offering administrative support.

If you’re keen to support us by volunteering, please fill in this registration form and we will contact you.

Annual campaign

By getting involved in our annual campaign, Get Spotted, you can help to decrease the incidence of melanoma in New Zealand.

Whether you go it alone or gather your friends to support this Melanoma Awareness Campaign, however you choose to support us is appreciated. This year, Get Spotted will be held in October.

Share your story

There are lots of different ways we raise awareness – e.g. campaigns, social media, our quarterly newsletter, videos, mainstream media – so for now we are just gathering info, and once we have found the right opportunity to share your story, we would get back in touch again at that stage to discuss it more fully and make sure they were happy to proceed and were involved throughout the process.

Please let us know if you are interested in sharing your story, by contacting us and we will explain the next steps.

Make a bequest

Remembering Melanoma New Zealand, alongside your loved ones, in your will, is a wonderful way to have a lasting impact on preventing avoidable deaths and suffering from melanoma in New Zealand. Many of the support services and research advances we benefit from today have been funded through the generosity of those who have gone before.

A bequest of any amount can make a real difference.

Contact us

If you like to fundraise or volunteer, contact us below. Plus, there are other ways to give, such as Sponsorship & Payroll Giving.

I really want to do something to support the work Melanoma New Zealand does to raise awareness of the symptoms of melanoma so this awful cancer is found early when it can be treated and potentially cured.
